Level Designer

Responsibilities

Become a key member of an experienced multi-disciplined team creating an innovative action/strategy FPS for next-gen consoles.

Work with game and level designers to create level specifications making good use of the available game mechanics. Bring the level architecture, props, lighting, event triggers and AI scripting together to create a fun, atmospheric experience.

Take ownership of levels and see them through from concept to completion.

Required Skills

  • Passion for first person action games.
  • Demonstrated ability to construct interesting game levels using UnrealEd, ideally single player levels and/or outdoor areas.
  • An artistic eye and/or good technical skills (Material Editor/AI/Kismet).
  • Ability to contribute to and design to a level specification.
  • Ability to analyze and tune level designs to maximize gameplay.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure if required.

Desirable

  • Strategy game knowledge/experience.
  • Knowledge or interest in military history.

Senior Animator

Outline of Duties

Motion capture shoot direction and data logging. Motion capture cleanup, looping, weapon attachment. Hand key animation. Cutscene setup and animation & facial animation.

Skills required

Good working knowledge of Motion Builder 7.5. Good working knowledge of mocap shooting and data handling inc. cleanup and looping. Good knowledge of cut scene direction and animation inc. facial animation. Good traditional hand key animation skills. Knowledge of Max and Unreal Engine 3 a bonus.
